I have had this idea evolving in my head for around thirteen years now. It's great to finally have been there, being able to see how close I can get to that idea. I was in Paris for about sixteen hours, waking up in a small hotel room in the 10eme Arrondissement on my 21st birthday.

To me, this photo is not perfect... yet it's very close to that.

Some parts of Paris are constructed in a way that just support being photographed. But mostly the city planning there sucks. As I said in my blog, I will go back to that beautiful place in less than a year, and maybe drive this photo to perfection.

And by the way — normally I am anti-obsessed about things that have been photographed billions of times, but I have always felt a connection to Paris, so this is special.
